DREAMS' FIRST COLLEGIATE GYMNAST
At Dreams, we love to challenge, train, and prepare our gymnasts to be able to compete at the collegiate level. Our first competitive gymnast, Desislava Yordanova, competed as a Crusader for The Belmont Abbey College Acrobatics and Tumbling Team 2019-2022!
Desi is an excellent student-athlete and earlier in 2021 at Conference Carolina, Desi helped The Crusaders team to win all three: Open Toss event, the Trio Tumbling event, and the Aerial Tumbling event. More info here.
Desi graduated from Belmont Abbey with a B.S. in Biology in 2022, and later with a Master's of Public Health: Global Health & Maternal Child Health in 2024 from Saint Louis University. She currently lives in Dubai and works as cabin crew for Emirates.
In a short time since Dreams' opening, our coaches have produced two Artistic Regional Qualifiers (in 2018) and one (in 2019), six Trampoline & Tumbling National Qualifiers (in 2018) who traveled to Reno, Nevada to compete (three of which went on to become National Gold Medalists). Approximately 740 trampoline and tumbling gymnasts competed in the 2019 Stars & Stripes Championships at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Fla., July 20-21. The annual event is the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP for Junior Olympic Levels 5-7 in trampoline, double mini-trampoline and tumbling. CONGRATULATIONS to all TEN Dreams’ athletes who qualified and competed!
